Conservation · Meeting of April 2, 2026

Pembroke's Conservation Commission approved orders of conditions for three pond boat ramp projects and a parking upgrade. The commission unanimously signed off on replacement ramps at Furnace Pond (DEP No. 56-1139), Oldham Pond (DEP No. 56-1137) and Stetson Pond (DEP No. 56-1138), after engineer Gary Dubois of LKB Engineering fielded pointed questions from residents like Oldham Pond's Bill Marsh, who said "that coffer dam has got to go out at least 60 feet" to reach stable bottom. Resident Nicole Lydick urged the panel to keep its "focus really should be on the health of the water." The commission also approved a six-space ADA parking upgrade at Laggie Preserve (DEP No. 056-1136), cleared a pitch and putt expansion at Pembroke Country Club over one resident's objection, and voted to recommend Laura Campbell for a commission seat.
