PEMBROKE — The Pembroke Conservation Commission voted unanimously to approve an Order of Conditions for a 1.5-million-gallon-per-day water treatment plant at Wells 2 and 3. Apex Companies engineers Drew Galant and Ryan Paul and Water Superintendent Dan Sullivan told the board the project will clear about eight acres on a 41-acre town-owned site, though only roughly three-quarters of an acre falls within wetland buffer zones. Chair Gino Fellini and members Nicole Pelletier, Richard Madden, James Campbell, Laura Campbell and Art Egerton questioned the applicant on tree removal, stormwater handling and future PFAS treatment readiness; Galant called the plant "PFAS ready" for a possible future lagoon.

Separately, the commission rescheduled a hearing on a 13-building, 22-unit project at 660 Washington Street to June 4 after the applicant's representative failed to appear. Members also accepted April 2 minutes and paused for a moment of silence for Robert Benjamin Margro, Norwell's longtime health agent.
