Conservation · Meeting of June 4, 2026

PEMBROKE — The Pembroke Conservation Commission approved three small projects but continued review of a 22-unit development pending a site visit. Chair Gino Fellini presided as members unanimously cleared a backyard lawn at 49 Center Street, a new home at 99 Old Washington Street with a $150 Town Tree Fund donation, and two additions at 46 Blueberry Lane. Member Nicole Pelletier pushed Grady Consulting's Kevin Grady for more detail on tree removal and septic backup power for the 660 Washington Street project, a 13-building, 22-unit proposal disturbing 9.8 percent of a riverfront area, saying conditions had changed since the site's 2025 drought-era wetland delineation: "This is a totally different animal right now," abutter Lisa Tiexeira said.

The commission continued that hearing to July 2 and scheduled a site walk for June 13. Member Art Egerton, attending his final meeting after nearly seven years on the board, said "now is the time to let someone else have this seat."
