Select Board · Meeting of April 1, 2026
Pembroke Select Board voted unanimously to schedule an April 8 special meeting to review Town Manager William Chenard's contract in executive session. The board also directed staff to add the contract to the Advisory Committee's April 13 agenda. During a lengthy fiscal 2027 budget workshop, Chenard told the board the town's snow and ice deficit stands at "almost $1.1 million" and warned "we don't need any April snowstorms." Police staff could not explain a roughly $200,000 "other pay" line item, with a deputy chief saying "I forget what it is." The board also approved the May 16 early voting schedule, a one-day liquor license for the Chamber of Commerce's "Taste of Pembroke" event, and two sets of prior meeting minutes, before voting 5-0 to enter executive session on a personnel matter and assistant town manager negotiations.
