Select Board Approves $5.2 Million Bond Note Sale
Select Board · Meeting of September 9, 2026
Pembroke Select Board approves $5.2 million bond note sale, stalls on conduct-code censure clause. Town Clerk Tracy Marino announced the town sold $5,185,304 in bond anticipation notes to TD Financial Products LLC at a net interest cost of 2.8939 percent. The board also approved a one-day liquor license for a Pembroke Citizen Journal trivia night, 4-0-1, and advanced special town meeting warrant items including $82,200 for a failed ball field well and $75,000 combined for Hatch Building and Bethel Chapel repairs.
A $288,170 Veterans Park project was pulled from the warrant after the Community Preservation Committee tabled it. No vote was taken on a revised code of conduct after Chair John G. Brown Jr. and Vice Chair Sean Keegan's draft drew pushback over whether to list board censure as an option; one member warned "all it takes is three votes."
