Conservation Commission Approves Dock Permit for Watershed Association on North River
PEMBROKE — October 16, 2025 — Pembroke Conservation Commission unanimously approves dock permit for North and South Rivers Watershed Association on the North River. The commission issued an order of conditions Thursday for a proposed dock at 160 Scussett Street, a 13.75-acre commercial property the association is in the process of purchasing. Engineer James Garfield of Morse Engineering presented the project, which includes a 141-foot wooden pier, a 4-by-40-foot aluminum gangway, and a 10-by-20-foot seasonal float, all designed to maintain 30 inches of water beneath the float at mean low tide. Two abutters spoke in favor, with Judy Parks of 69 Brickhound Lane calling the association "very exciting" to have in the neighborhood. The project still requires permits from the North River Commission, Massachusetts DEP Chapter 91 Waterways Program, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
